The national and local cycle routes offer many opportunities to cycle on easy, safe and attractive off road paths, especially the coastal sections. The National Byway is mostly on quite country roads. Select ‘View Larger Map’ to explore the area.

National Cycle Network NCN7

Signposted route NCN7 shown as RED lines on the map. The coastal sections are often traffic free shared use paths, whereas the country sections are mostly on quiet roads.

Local Cycle Network

These are shown as BLUE DASHED lines. Some local cycle paths are signposted. Mostly off road, but may be a roadside path designated as a cycleway, so take care with young cyclists.
